As I head into arbitration to challenge my wrongful termination by the Washington Post, I am thankful to the Substack community. Thank you for your support of my work. And I am especially grateful to my paid subscribers. You all have helped me weather this storm!
Wishing you and your team the best. Completely unrelated, since Josh starts his tour tomorrow I hope you're able to see him live this tour. Those concerts are amongst the best therapy money ever spent.
You have every right to the freedom of speech granted to all people in this country by the 1st amendment of the United States Constitution, and I am proud that you are standing up for that right. 🇺🇸 ✊ 🇺🇸 You said nothing in your posts that is dangerous in any way—unless you include the danger posed to the level of acceptance of racism in our country, which has been increasing among the US population for at least the past 10 years. 🤦♀️ Stating the truth about racism and how it is detrimental to society is what is needed in our country. Your statements in question, and your integrity and perseverance in the face of being unjustly terminated for having said them—have done more for the wellbeing of American society than the people complaining about them could even dream of.
We need you to win this in part to give us reason to believe justice is still possible. Good luck! And as a loyal Contrarian, very happy to see you note Norm Eisen's help with your case.
Best wishes in your arbitration. Diversity is legitimacy. Without it we are droids and tools for the Epstein Class. Use your boycott powers oftain. Resist the white milk toast mouthpiece. Support a diverse universe and launch the rest to... Mars. Peace.
I think your posts were actually pretty restrained considering Charlie Kirk's own outrageous comments and views. Several other people have won substantial awards in lawsuits for the same kind of unjustified retaliation that you suffered. Each time I've read about them I've thought of you and thought "I hope Karen takes WaPo to the cleaners!". While you may be better off out of there since it has been so degraded and compromised by the despicable, craven Jeff Bezos, and although WaPo's loss is Independent Media's gain, that is not the point. They need to be held accountable for their unacceptable behavior and double standards in firing you. Wishing you victory and justice!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Karen. We’re being deluged with dreadful news every day and it’s good to know that you’re finding the strength to persevere. Sending positive vibes from the hippie generation.

Even though female and black, last I checked you still have First Amendment rights. WAPO needs to lose this one.
You are very courageous! May the force be with you.
